Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate

Re-plumps, smoothes, Re-hydrates

Hyaluronic acid (HA) and the related salt Sodium Hyaluronate is a naturally occurring potent humectant found naturally in skin and connective tissue. It is capable of retaining approximately 1000 times its weight in water to keep skin and collagen hydrated. HA holds up to 370% more moisture than even the Collagen protein molecule. The ageing process causes a decrease in production and cellular concentration of HA, and the skin becomes drier, thinner, and less taut, promoting the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. HA can be absorbed by the top layers of our skin when applied topically and compensates for lower levels of endogenous HA. This means it effectively re-plumps the cells greatly improving the skin's appearance and smoothing out those unwanted lines.
