Ukraine Appeal of the Disasters Emergency Committee

Like you, we have been horrified by events in Ukraine. Our thoughts are with the millions whose lives are in turmoil, who are fighting, fleeing to safety, or worrying for their family.

So in April 2022 partnered with Work for Good to raise funds for humanitarian causes being coordinated by the Disasters Emergency Committee.

From 12th March to 30th April 2022, 100% of the sales of Intense Volume Mascara were donated to Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) via Work For Good.

In total your generosity raised £3,700. Thank you to everyone who purchased and donated to this worthy cause.

What is the Disasters Emergency Committee?

When large-scale disasters hit countries without the capacity to respond, the DEC brings together 15 leading UK-based aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need our help and their mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.

What activities will the donations be spent on?

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing hundreds of thousands to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.

What is Work For Good?

Work For Good is an organisation that makes it easier for small businesses to raise funds for charity. They provide a fundraising platform which creates the commercial participation agreement (CPA) between the charity and the business in full compliance with charity law.
