Beauty Editor Lucia Ferrari shares an edit of her favourite products for pretty, summer skin and makeup

"I love products which give bare skin a beautiful, sheeny glow. Adding a subtle sheen to the skin has the same effect as wearing a crisp white shirt - it brings light and radiance to the face which can take a couple of years off – and that’s always a bonus!

Of course there’s a huge difference between a beautiful radiance and a frosty shimmer – so here’s my edit of my favourite Cosmetics a la Carte products to create the perfect understated, summery, glowing makeup."

Rose Dew Primer £48
"I love to begin with a couple of pumps of Rose Dew – it’s a gorgeous hyaluronic primer and nourisher which drenches the skin in moisture and has the most exquisite, uplifting light rose fragrance. It’s my perfect makeup base. "
Radiance Tinted Moisturiser £49

"I am obsessed with tinted moisturisers and the Radiance Tinted Moisturiser has long been a favourite of mine. It’s beautifully sheer and just makes your skin look like the best version of itself, not really like you’re wearing any makeup at all. It’s so light yet gives good coverage. I don’t bother with concealer when I use it. I also love that you can apply it with fingers and don’t have to use a brush. It lasts well throughout the day too."

"Moonbeam" Glow Highlighting Powder £44
"After my bronzer, I love using the Glow Highlighting Powder (I use Moonbeam – and sweep just a tiny amount over my cheekbones). It’s beautiful and gives a lovely airbrushed look. You have to be careful not to overdo it - less is definitely more with this product but it’s such a pretty colour I can’t now live without this!"
Luminous Cream Shadow "Spirit" £28
"When it comes to eyeshadow, I just want something easy and I can’t tell you how brilliant (or how many compliments I’ve had) since I’ve started using the Luminous Cream Shadows. For a super quick smokey eye I apply Spirit (with a small brush) – just along the eyelid where I’d apply eyeliner. It literally takes under a minute and it’s so simple."
Luminous Cream Shadow "Dream" £28
"For weekends, I love the bronzey colour called Dream."
Intense Volume Mascara £29

"I finish my eyes with a few coats of the Intense Volume Mascara which I adore and I can see why it wins awards. Firstly it makes the lashes look beautifully long with just the right amount of va va voom. Not too much – as I hate mascaras which look like false lashes. Lashes still look elegant and it’s great for day or evening as it can be layered up. Secondly, it lasts well and doesn’t smudge."

Sheer Brilliance "English Rose" £28
"I’m a lip gloss addict and have fallen in love with the non sticky Sheer Brilliance Formula (they were Princess Diana’s favourite glosses too). I have two favourites – for day English Rose is utterly beautiful. It’s the perfect pale pink nude gloss which just makes the colour of your eyes pop. "
Sheer Brilliance "Holland Park" £28
"And for evening I love Holland Park which is a chic goldeney gloss with a teeny hint of glitter. It makes me think of Missoni dresses and lunches in Portofino."
Overnight Renew Body Oil £54
"My last summer essential is the Overnight Renew Body Oil. In a word it’s brilliant. So many products promise glossier, more toned looking skin but few deliver. This does. I spritz it on at bedtime as a treatment or I use it before going out over shoulders, arms, décolletage and legs to instantly make them look more toned, glossy and beautifully moisturised. It’s a game changer."
