Echinacea

ECHINACEA PALLIDA

Rebalances oiliness, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory

Echinacea is derived from a pretty flower in the same family as sunflowers and daisies but with striking purple petals and a spiky conical seed head. It is a curative botanical extract and natural astringent which stimulates the overall activity of the cells responsible for fighting all kinds of infection. Since it was first used by Native Americans to treat wounds and snake bites, it has been used widely in herbal preparations. Research has shown that Echinacea reduces inflammation and improves the healing process of skin wounds by stimulating the growth of new tissue and inhibiting the enzyme (hyaluronidase) which helps bacteria gain access to healthy cells. It is a mild antibiotic, an antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal agent which also helps rebalance oiliness on the skin.
