1. What ingredients do you use?

We've been using and perfecting our hand-blended makeup and skincare products for over forty years using only the best from nature and science. Our leading-edge formulations use the finest natural ingredients and work wonders on your skin. Wherever possible our products are free of preservatives and are enhanced with only natural fragrance. Our formulations are paraben-free as far as practical and absolutely none have been tested on animals.

5. Can I return or exchange products?

We hope you love our products as much as we do, but if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase or it is faulty and would like to obtain a refund or exchange, you may do this within 30 days. For further information on the return and exchange process see our Delivery and Returns page.

6. How can I work for Cosmetics à la Carte?

From time to time we have opportunities for talented make-up artists, cosmetic scientists and laboratory technicians. Openings will be posted on our website as they become available. Currently there are no open positions but speculative applications via order@cosmeticsalacarte.com are welcomed.

8. How can I book a lesson or personalised makeup session?

Please call our boutique at 192 Pavilion Road on 020 7259 9454 during normal opening hours. At all other times, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. Alternatively email book@cosmeticsalacarte.com with your request and we will contact you.

9. How can I book a bridal makeup session?

As for any other appointment, please either call on 020 7259 9454 or email our boutique at book@cosmeticsalacarte.com. We do invite brides-to-be to visit our boutique and meet our make-up artists free of charge, and find out how we can create the perfect bespoke bridal make-up experience for you.

10. Do you sell gift vouchers?

We can create vouchers for any of our services and lessons and for any amount. A selection is available on our website here but for a bespoke option please contact us. Vouchers can be either posted or emailed free of charge, according to your preference.

11. Do you provide samples?

We include 1 sample, selected by our make-up artists, free with purchases over £20, 2 over £50 and 3 over £100. These are discounted automatically at the checkout. You can purchase samples of all our make-up and skincare for a nominal cost, with free shipping to UK addresses. Shipping to EU addresses is fixed at £4.50, Worldwide £5.42. Swatches of pencils and mascara are available free of charge.

12. How can I cancel my order?

You have the statutory right to cancel your order at any time up to 14 days after the receipt of the item. Please be aware that orders are usually processed on the same day that they are received. Simply call our mail order team on +44 (0)20 7622 2318 during our opening hours or email order@cosmeticsalacarte.com with your name, address and order reference number.

13. Do you allow ‘drop-ins’ at your store?

At 192 Pavilion Road and Fortnum & Mason we will always do our best to accommodate you but we cannot guarantee availability of our make-up artists without an appointment. We do recommend making an appointment to avoid disappointment, especially if travelling far.

14. How do I apply my discount code?

To use any discount code, you must create an account with us and be logged in at the time of purchase. Please enter the discount code in the My Bag section, before starting the Checkout Process. We regret that we are unable to apply the discount retrospectively on completed orders.

15. Do you do PR credits / professional discounts for make-up artists?

16. What happens if an item is damaged in the mail?

We take great care in packaging our products safely for delivery. But sometimes items can arrive in less than perfect condition. We may be able to arrange a refund or replacement Please send a photo of the damaged item to order@cosmeticsalacarte.com. We reserve the right to decline to make a refund or replacement for any reason.

17. How can I find information on past orders either online or in person?

If you are logged in to your account on our website, you can see an order history. If you previously purchased online as a guest or in person at our stores, please contact our customer service team at our Head Office and Lab address.
