Cyclomethicone is a clear odorless silicone which is used as a base solvent to blend with fragrance oils and perfume oils. Cyclomethicones evaporate quickly after helping to carry oils into the top layer of skin leaving a silky-smooth feel. They perform a similar function in hair care products by helping nutrients enter the hair shaft and are used to reduce the greasy feel of body and hair oils. This makes them ideal for body sprays, lotions creams and hair care.
