 Our cosmetics are made in London, for women by women who care what they wear too. Ingredients are carefully selected balancing technology, safety and comfort.
No Animal Testing: none of our finished products have ever been tested on animals. Products are suitable for vegetarians (ingredients of animal origin are beeswax and lanolin and Hydrolysed Milk Protein; we can confirm that the woolgrease in our lanolin originates in wool sheared from living sheep). We like to use traditional, natural and organic ingredients where possible and test everything on ourselves and other human volunteers.
Preservatives: many of our products are preservative free. This includes most powder products (Eye Define, Blush Touch, Starshine, Silk Touch, Cover Tint) and wax based (Lipsticks, Gloss, Velvet Tint, Bare Blush Cheek Tint & Cheek Light, Sunbalm, Lip Rich, Undercover, Hydrabalm). To keep water based products fresh and safe for up to two years after opening we use minimal concentrations of preservatives that have proved effective over many years until natural preservatives are proven satisfactory.
Sunscreens: we choose to use broad spectrum organic UVA/UVB absorbers at concentrations that have been safe and effective over time, and include a photostable mineral sun filter to enhance the UVA protection, while reducing the risk of allergy.
Allergy: If you suffer from allergic responses and want to know which ingredient is causing the problem, contact a dermatologist and arrange to be patch tested.
